Vertical push on parallel bars. From a straight-arm support, lower until the shoulders are level with the elbows and press back up.

Technique
- Start in support: elbows locked, shoulders pressed down, slight forward lean.
- Lower under control, elbows travel back, not out.
- Bottom: shoulder level with the elbow (about 90 degrees), no collapsing forward.
- Press to full lockout.
Common mistakes
- Going too deep with collapsed shoulders: overloads the front of the shoulder.
- Swinging the legs for momentum.
- Incomplete lockout at the top.
