Tuck L-sit

A straight-arm support with the knees tucked to the chest, feet off the floor. The first step to the L-sit: teaches scapular depression and abdominal tension.

Technique

  1. Grip the parallettes, arms straight, shoulders pressed down.
  2. Tuck the knees to the chest and lift the feet off the floor.
  3. Trunk slightly forward, shallow breathing, hold.

Common mistakes

  • Bent elbows.
  • Shoulders riding up to the ears: press the bars down.
