Chest-to-wall handstand

You walk the feet up the wall from a push-up position until you stand on your hands facing the wall, toes resting on it. Teaches a straight line without the banana, unlike the back-to-wall version.

Technique

  1. Feet on the wall, walk the hands in until they are 15 to 20 cm from the wall.
  2. Shoulders pushed to the ears, ribs down, pelvis tucked, only the toes touch the wall.
  3. Eyes between the hands, breathe. Walk back down the wall.

Common mistakes

  • Hands too far from the wall: the body is diagonal, not vertical.
  • Pushing off the wall with the feet instead of a light touch.
